MY STORY Absolutely gorgeous early 2000s silk gown by Amsale. Its features include a strapless neckline with complete boning and interior 'corset' style structure, an empire waist, center back zipper and a full, multilayered skirt with inbuilt crinoline that extends out into a train at the back. The waist features a unique muted lilac ruched tie that extends out at the back. Similarly to the skirt, the waist ties can also be bustled, creating an interesting draped design. There are so many ways to style the waist ties: in a bow, fully unbustled - the options are endless. Restoration of this gown included couture drycleaning and specialized hand sewn repairs.
