VINTAGE
MY STORY The Rita Gown was reworked in collaboration with our in-house designer, Lily Abbitt. This gown is from the late 1940s and came to us a work in progress - it was never fully imagined (until now) and has never been worn or walked down the aisle. Its features include a standing collar that extends into a deep v pintucked bodice, a high empire waist, back middle zipper and a voluminous satin skirt, trimmed in delicate lace. The skirt extends out in the back to create a stunning train (it also has a one-point bustle). To modernize this gown, two high slits were added to the front for more movement and for some extra leg!
