Seamstress (Part - Time)

Location: Echo Park, Los Angeles
Schedule: Mondays & Tuesdays (some flexibility)
Compensation: Hourly rate (contractor)

Saturn Bridal is a Los Angeles–based bridal showroom specializing in rare, one-of-a-kind vintage wedding gowns, separates and accessories. We’re seeking an experienced seamstress to join our team and help with in-house alterations and repairs.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of vintage and/or bridal sewing techniques and has a passion for garment restoration and preservation.

What You’ll Do

• Small hand repairs including sewing clasps, closures, adding buttons, fixing bustle loops and small seam splits etc
• Larger machine repairs including replacing zippers, fixing hems, removing sleeves and reimagining necklines
• Ironing and steaming garments to prepare them for the shop floor
• Shopping for sewing notions, sourcing lace and other materials
  
• Maintaining showroom presentation and garment quality by performing weekly "rack resets"

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of experience working professionally as a seamstress or tailor (working with vintage is a huge plus)
  
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Creative and solution-oriented
• Genuine appreciation for craftsmanship, history, and vintage fashion
• Reliable, organized, and collaborative

• Part-time position with room to grow (Monday and Tuesday availability is a priority at this time)

• Must have a vehicle and valid drivers license
